Q: What kind of power supply do you use for the signal booster?

A: Our power supply used with the signal booster is mainly Input 100-240V 50/60Hz, Output 12V 2A. Some model of signal booster power supply Input 100-240V 50-60Hz; Output 5V 1A.

   For different countries, we have different power adaptors with different pins, including two round pin, two flat pin and three pins etc.

Q: How do I decide what type of internal antenna I need for my home, whip antenna, dome ceiling antenna or panel antenna for my signal booster? 

A: The difference of the mentioned 3 indoor antennas are as following.

1) Whip antenna and ceiling antenna is omni all-directional antenna; while panel antenna is directional antenna. Panel antenna is better for a long area, such as the corridor.

2) Whip antenna is about 1/2dbi, ceiling antenna 3/5dbi and panel antenna 7/8dbi. Whip antenna can be used in a small room. Ceiling antenna can cover about 250 square meters in open room.

3) Whip antenna can be directly connected to the signal booster without coaxial cable. Ceiling antenna and panel antenna need extra cable. Ceiling antenna is mounted on the ceiling in middle of the room. Indoor panel antenna is mounted on the wall.

Q: What is the difference of the outdoor antennas including yagi antenna, log periodic antenna, panel antenna, fiberglass antenna etc? Which is the best for my signal booster?

A:  Log periodic antenna is the mostly popular and commonly used as Outdoor Donor antenna for signal booster. It is 8/9dBi, small size and easy for delivery. We have high gain log periodic antenna 10/11dbi also.

    Yagi antenna is available for different frequency ranges and different elements. More gain with more elements. It is normally longer size than log periodic antenna, panel antenna and fiberglass antennas. We can manufacture yagi antennas with different elements, gain and cable length per order

    Panel antenna is also commonly used. We have outdoor panel antenna and indoor panel antenna. The difference between them is the mount accessories. Outdoor panel is pole mounting accessories, while indoor panel is wall mount accessories on the backside. Gain normally 7/8dBi.

    Fiberglass antenna is omni antenna, while yagi antenna, log periodic antenna and panel antenna are all directional antenna. For omni antenna, easier during the installation, as you do not need to adjust the direction, but you do need to make sure the point you locate the antenna is available with good signal. For directional antenna, you need to adjust the antenna direction and points it to the cell tower.
